About me and what I can offer you.
Beside from having done a large part of my training in England and in English, I have lived more then 11 years of my adult life outside Denmark.
Due to my husband's career we have been lucky to travel the world and we have lived in Vietnam, Australia, Italy, Spain and the UK.
I know what it takes to build a life in a new country and a different culture. I've had babies abroad, seen them start nursery and school, change schools, said goodbye to old friends and hello to new ones.
I have had to start many new friendships, struggled with a new language, communicated in sign language at the doctor's, gone house and school hunting.
And I have celebrated Christmas, New Years, Easter and lots of birthdays with people who were not my family.
I know what it feels like when you are missing your family and friends. When you can't go out for a coffee with your mum, sister or best friend when you feel like it. I know the sadness you feel when you are missing out on all those speciel times with your loved ones at home, the house calls you don't get to make when someone is unwell, the births and birthsdays and the Tuesday celebrations because someone got a new job,
I know the feeling of feeling stuck and uncertain about your future and not wanting to burden people with my thoughts, worries and wishes.
How can I help you?
Mindfulness is a mental state of awareness, focus and openness – which allows you to engage fully in what you are doing at any moment. In a state of mindfulness you are open to changing your old thinking, beliefs and habits.
Life coaching is a process of self-discovery and empowerment that helps you produce positive results, whatever challenges you are currently facing. It is a self-motivated practice that helps you to clarify who you are, what you want, and to find a path that resonates with what you are passionate about.
I believe that by changing our mindset we can accept the challenges life brings us so we can grow and live meaningful lives.
My focus areas are life coacing in general, loss and grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, self harmful habits (numbing), international moves, teenage girls, overwhelm and burn out.
In mindful coaching I will meet you in a non-judgemental, open minded and safe space. Through conversation using recognised and succesfull tools and techniques we will clarify your desires and get you started on fulfilling your dreams and goals.
When we feel overwhelmed, sad, lonely and stressed we sometimes look outside ourselves for comfort. Sometimes we find it causing us even more pain and distress.
